Long time ago this CD is the 1st recording for non HUNGAROTON
label. Virtuoso and evergreen pieces including some chamber music as well -
accompanied by harp.
The session was held in the Royal Palace in Gödöllő
in three days.66' long album contents
rare but very good virtuoso violin pieces for ex.: Drdla
Carmen Fantasie, Saint-Saëns Fantasie Op.124. The second piece was originally
written for this two instruments.

On this media you can find two PLEYEL Concerti written for Solo Violin and
Violin and Violoncello. Although the Violin Concerto is only three-mvmts long
there is an extra 3rd mvmt as well. This part was written later, so you can
choose up to your taste the preferable one. The Serenade is originally planed
in 4 mvmts. My partner is Peter Szabó - who is the Principal Cellist of the
Budapest Festival Orchestra. He inspired mainly this composer whom I fell in
love later. The chamber orchestra leader is Zsolt Szefcsik who was very
supportive handling of the manuscripts. I humbly draw your kind attention to the
one of the most beautiful second mvmt - in the Violin Concerto. |

When you meet with Gergely Járdányi you will think at once he has the entire
legacy of Bottesini. He is already his 3rd Bottesini album and on this media he
recorded 4 Concerti from the composer. His partners are: Miklós Perényi, Kálmán
Berkes and Ödön Rácz. Weiner-Szász Orchestra is conducted by the famous Italian
based Maestro, János Ács. |

His name is complicated but his music is simple and unique. KRUMPHOLZ Trios
and Sonatas are rare in the concert stages and never ever recorded at any label.
This is my first meeting - performing together since years - with Andrea Vígh.
She is an outstanding person with extraordinary ability and experience and with
dozens of CDs, already recorded. The media was recorded in the HUNGAROTON
studio in the last year (2002). |

This is my second SPOHR Duo album with Peter Csaba. Working with him is more
than a partnership but like The reason is why we continued the same composer's
repertoire is that the English Spohr Society asked and sponsored this
recording after the success of our first CD. |

More than twenty years! We started with Márta Gulyás our common past together
in that time. The success of the Radio Competition victory brought to us our
first recording - on LP. After the transcription of this media to CD this is a
third stage of the history of this recording, the technical refreshment and
adding some new tracks for it. We recorded newly this three pieces for this
edition of the newly released cd.

The string trio repertoire is not as reach as for ex. the pianotrios's. This two
composer:
Albrechtsberger and Sperger surprised us meeting and studying them for this
session with invention, virtuosity and spirit. |

We have met with Miklós Nagy (horn) in Paris, playing the Brahms Horn Trio.
After this concert he suggested this piece to record. Sperger was surprisingly a
very fertile composer in the chamber music field. As one cd higher - you can
examine he wrote for many chamber music groups and instruments. On this
album my partner are: Péter
Bársony (viola) and György Kertész (violoncello) |
